Three Thematic Areas
In order to discuss with stakeholders about tools and recommendations for new regulatory frameworks, three thematic areas related to disruptive technology in mobility have been identified:
Automation and emerging technologies
This thematic area includes developing technologies, such as: vehicle and CAV (Connected and Automated Vehicles), drones and flying vehicles, Information and Communication Technology solutions, payment and ticketing solutions, new generation batteries.
Shared mobility, MaaS and public transport
This thematic area includes new and traditional mobility services for passenger and freight transport, with particular respect to solutions related to public transport and Mobility as a Service. Among the diverse mobility services covered: car-sharing, bike-sharing, ride-sharing, ride-hailing, public transport, taxi, parking, EV charging infrastructure, goods delivery, etc.
Digitalisation and data-driven models
This area mainly concerns the provisions of trasnport related-data and platfroms that support any type of passenger and freight operations.
