Webinar - Managing uncertainty when dealing with the Future of Mobility

On 12 November, GECKO will feature together with the project MOMENTUM in a joint webinar organised by Polis.

In the context of the series organised by Polis “Mobilising mobility: Turning European research into local action”, GECKO will feature together with the MOMENTUM project in a joint webinar taking place on Thursday 12 November 2020, from 14.00 to 15.00 CEST.

Innovation, in mobility and in any other domain, implies change, and change brings around uncertainty. What impacts should we expect from the surge of new and innovative mobility services in urban contexts? How should policy-makers should respond to the pervasive rollout of new mobility services? What opportunities and risks for local transport systems are to be tackled, in order to manage uncertainty and make innovation in mobility work for all?

These are only some of the questions that speakers from the GECKO and the MOMENTUM projects will address in a panel discussion on how transport modelling tools and the elaboration of governance models can contribute to create local tranport systems that are safe, efficient, equitable, and affordable.

This webinar will be moderated by Pedro Homem de Gouveia (POLIS).

Featured speakers include:

  • Karen Vancluysen, POLIS Network Secretary General
    • GECKO:
      • Yanick Bousse (UITP)
      • Valerio Lubello (University of Bocconi)
    • MOMENTUM:
